Salt & Pepper refers to the weave, which as it suggests, looks like salt and pepper that has been mixed. The tweed is usually a fine weave, which is not only ideal for caps but is also suitable for suits and shirts. The tight weave makes the tweed strong and hard wearing. Two colors, grey or brown.
The Donegal Touring Style cap, aka the' Brad Pitt Style' is a much more fitted cap than the Vintage cap, has a more pronounced peak with a hard plastic mold stitched in the brim to give it it's curved shape. It fits like a baseball cap does, close to your head.
These caps are also sometimes called Jeff Caps, Golf Caps or Scally Caps.
