Get a flexible tape measure with centimetre or inch markings. A piece of string measured against a ruler works too.
Wrap the tape around your head just above your ears and eyebrows, at the widest point of your head.
Make sure the tape sits low enough at the back — it should rest at the widest part, not ride up.
Note your measurement in centimetres or inches.
Find your size in the chart above.
Tip: If possible, have someone help you — it's hard to read the tape at the back of your own head.
If your measurement falls between two sizes, we recommend sizing down for a snug fit. Hanna Hats caps are designed to sit securely without being too tight.
Same size across all styles. A Medium in a Hanna Hats flat cap is the same as a Medium in their newsboy cap or walking hat.
Tweed vs. Linen: Most customers wear the same size in both. Some find linen caps feel slightly roomier due to the lighter, more pliable fabric.
Break-in: Tweed caps are steam-pressed before shipping and arrive structured. Wool tweed will soften slightly with wear but will not stretch significantly. Choose based on your measured size.
Handcrafted consistency: Each cap is size-checked before it leaves the Donegal workshop.

Returns can be made up to 30 days from date of your order being delivered to you.
All garments must be unworn, unwashed, and have all the tags still attached to the garment with packaging intact.
Any and all postage costs are the responsibility of the customer. Please make sure to insure the item(s) you are exchanging as we are not responsible for lost or damaged products that are returned to us. We recommend you add tracking also.

I really miss this hot I owned one about 15-20 years ago was a little lighter green car and the stripes for a little more gold than him red but I love this hat and I missed it

Husband got the exact same hat on our honeymoon in Dublin in 2012. It has lasted amazingly up until the last year when the lining started falling apart and the brim had worn spots. This is after 13 years of wearing nearly everyday, all day. All weather. He was sad it was wearing out. So I knew what to get him for his birthday this year. When I gave it to him, he loved it and nearly cried. He was so surprised. Great quality and would definitely buy in the future. The old hat is hanging on our wall as a decoration in memory of our honeymoon.

Even better than we expected! My teenage son chose this for himself; the black with dark gray herringbone pattern is subtle and versatile. He is very sensitive to wool and "itchy" fabrics but the lining on this hat is perfect and he has no issues with irritation. We measured his head before ordering (medium) and it fits perfect. I'm sure he'll ask for more hats from Real Irish in the future.

I love these types of hats. This is a new color for me, and I love it. Since I received it, I have worn it on several occasions, including a dove hunting trip & a jazz concert (shown in photo). I struggle to find a size 8-8 1/8 hat. Hats represented to be an 8 are undersized when received. THIS HAT FITS PERFECT! My Hanna Hat is gorgeous and says “quality.” I love the way it looks and I frequently get compliments. I will be a repeat customer!

My Hanna touring cap is my favorite cap! I wear this everyday and it is very comfortable, a great fit and looks great as well! I highly recommend getting a Hanna hats of Donegal cap or hat!
