Cead Mile Failte

Cead Mile Failte, the traditional Irish greeting which means, "a hundred thousand welcomes."

From an original carving by Tom Little; cast by hand at The Wild Goose Studio in Kinsale, County Cork, Ireland.

The Celts respect the significance of the welcome as a threshold or rite of passage. Among Celts there is a wide recognition of the significance of chance meetings and random events (synchronicities) with a renowned openness to new experiences, opportunities and people, which is characterized by the expansive and generous nature of this phrase, "cead mile failte."

Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive." ~Anais Nin
