This is the classic flat cap made with Co. Donegal tweed, and a snap closure on the brim. The herringbone pattern is made up of alternating chevrons of light grey and darker grey, with tweedy flecks of blue and black.
Truly the genuine article, master weaver Eddie Doherty weaves the wool on an antique loom in a small town in Co. Donegal. Eddie is also one of the few remaining traditional handweavers left in Donegal.
If you've ever seen and felt Eddie's work, you instantly recognize the quality of his weaving. It is incredibly beautiful and very soft; the closer you look, the more colors you see.
